Honey bees are cavity dwellers and are instinctively creative in finding living quarters in unwanted places like the walls, eaves or floors of your home. All they need is a tiny hole to gain entrance. Within a week, honey bees can fill an entire void with comb, brood, and honey stores. A basic honey bee colony houses a minimum of 60,000 bees.
Blossom Bees is licensed and insured in the state of Georgia for conducting structural honey bee removals. Blossom Bees has extensive experience doing bee removals from residential and commercial properties including walls, floor joists, ceilings, eaves, roofs, electrical compartments, utility boxes, sheds, columns, trees, industrial sites, campers, and one and two story homes.
Blossom Bees takes great care in being able to accommodate removals quickly and is prompt in pricing jobs and getting them scheduled. There is no company more dedicated to meeting your needs in an honest, professional, and courteous manner. Our specialized service is available to you 24/7. 229-563-3050 is the only call you need to make!

Per Georgia rule 620-9, it is now illegal in Georgia to remove bee hives from inside someone's home or any structure without an HBR state license and insurance. Removing honey bees from a structure without a license incurs a $10,000 fine. Let us take care of your bee issues.

What do we do with the bees?
They move into a managed apiary where they pollinate local agricultural commodities! Each year we start at a blueberry patch in February, then move to citrus, and finally to squash and peppers.

Starting out as hobby apiarists, Blossom Bees is now a highly recommended source for local honey, structural honey bee rescue/removal, and educational resources for children and adults with over 140 five star google reviews! Blossom Bee Removal was named Small Business of the Year for 2025 by the Valdosta Lowndes Chamber of Commerce! Our owner/operator Stephanie Southall Peterson is a renowned educator in Lowndes County where she currently serves as the Elementary Agriculture Education Teacher at Westside Elementary School. She was Georgia Vocational Agriculture Technology Association (GVATA) Outstanding Educator for 2024-2025, Georgia Teacher of the Year Runner Up for 2019-2020, Lowndes County Teacher of the Year 2018-2019, and Westside Elementary School Teacher of the Year 2018-2019. She also was honored as Community Partner in Education Coordinator of the Year in 2021 and is in Valdosta State University’s Education Department Hall of Fame. Her over 900 kindergarten through 5th grade students manage four on campus beehives and have extracted and sold honey since 2021. Ms. Peterson also manages nearly 50 of her own honey bee hives for local honey and courtesy pollination services. Most of her hives originated from capturing swarms and rehoming bees found in structures. Although not the typical vision of what most people would expect as a bee removal specialist, Ms. Peterson has a plethora of references willing to go to bat for her to share their experiences of how she carefully, professionally and completely handled their residential or commercial honey bee removals.
Stephanie's voice and demeanor is as sweet as her honey, but don't mistake that gentle spirit for a lack of grit, ability, and intelligence. She has tenacity, energy, and a knack for bee removals that rightfully cannot be discounted. She is the first female in Georgia to earn the license and certification for structural bee removals, and is the 2nd person in the state overall. Daniel Peterson, her oldest son and a proud graduate of the University of Georgia, is the youngest state licensed bee removal operator in the state.
